St Mary’s House Teams
🏠🌟 Our New House Teams! 🌟🏠
We’re excited to introduce some changes to our St Mary’s Wavendon House Teams!
Our houses will continue to have links to our Saints, but each has now been given a new name inspired by a local inspirational figure, with each house representing one of our new school values.
⚔️ St George → Williamson House
Named after Leah Williamson, who grew up in Newport Pagnell before going on to captain the England Women’s football team. Williamson House represents Courage. 💪
🎶 St David → Laine House
Named after Cleo Laine, the renowned jazz singer who founded The Stables in Milton Keynes. Laine House represents Compassion. 💛
🏃♂️ St Patrick → Rutherford House
Named after Greg Rutherford, who grew up and continues to live locally and won Olympic gold for Team GB in the long jump. Rutherford House represents Perseverance. 🥇
💻 St Andrew → Turing House
Named after Alan Turing, whose incredible work at Bletchley Park played a hugely important role during World War II. Turing House represents Peace. 🕊️
We’ll soon be giving children the opportunity to put themselves forward for House Captain and Vice Captain roles. For each house, we’ll have one KS2 pupil and one KS1 pupil as House Captains, alongside one KS2 pupil and one KS1 pupil as Vice Captains.
We’d love for families to talk to their children about their new house name, the person they are named after and the value their house represents. We’ll be exploring all of this in school
We’re incredibly excited to see our new house teams come to life and our children take on these fantastic leadership opportunities! 🌟🏆
